Real World Exercise: Mindful Listening
Being mindful in the real world is our ultimate goal. When we communicate with others, that is a great time to practice being present. You focus on what the other person is saying and resiting the urge to interrupt. You consciously remain aware of all aspects of communicating. When you notice that your mind has switched to auto-pilot and you are not listening, then you gently guide it back to what you were doing.
Practicing consistently is the key to mastering new skills.
